BIOCHIP
BIOCHIP (Intelligent Vision System based on biometrics for the protection of children) is an international project involving three research groups, France (University of Paris-Est), Argentina (Universidad de Buenos Aires) and Brazil (Universidade Federal de Alagoas) .
Started in January 2012, the goal is to develop a smart system that can be connected to a TV or computer to control information that may offend young people. More specifically, this system uses facial biometry.
Based on the person's age estimate, videos or websites are filtered according to certain rules. This project is supported by STIC AmSUD.
