Call for Papers. New Springer journal “Metaheuristics”

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new Springer journal “Metaheuristics”, first journal 100% dedicated to metaheuritics, which is planned to start publication in the first half of 2018.

The topics covered by the journal are as follows (but not limited to) • Theoretical developments on metaheuristics • Performance comparisons of metaheuristics • Cooperative methods combining different types of approaches • Matheuristics • Parallel and distributed metaheuristics for multiobjective optimization • Adaptation of discrete metaheuristics to continuous optimization • Dynamic optimization • Software implementations • Real-life applications.

We are happy to solicit your contribution for the inaugural issue of Metaheuristics, to be published in the first half of 2018. We are looking for high-quality papers on any topic relevant to the journal, including regular papers, survey papers, industry papers and short papers. We point out the importance of statistical tests to make coherent the comparison with competing algorithms, our particular interest for papers bringing new theoretical ideas and our mistrust of papers which propose a new metaphor bringing nothing new but confusion.

Submissions should contain original material that has not been submitted or published elsewhere. The submission should include an abstract and keywords, authors, and specify which author serves as contact author. All submissions will be carefully reviewed by at least three experts.

Submissions have to be formatted according to the journal’s guidelines at
http://www.springer.com/computer/ai/journal/42257

and have to be uploaded into Springer’s Electronic Management System at
https://www.editorialmanager.com/mheu/default.aspx

Regards,
Prof. Patrick Siarry
